Cedro Chapel

Designed by the architect Antonio Stoutly and built in the first half of the 20th century by the Claretian community, it lies at kilometer 2 on the road to Cogua.  Considered the Sixtine Chapel of Colombia, it has beautiful frescoes and paintings by José Díaz Nemogal.  The moldings were created by the Zipaquiran Manuel Villamil Rendón.  This religious jewel has been declared by the Ministry of Culture to be a National, Religious, Tourist, Architectural and Cultural Monument.
